I thought about doing that to repair my cracked pad, but I was concerned about how to clean the suede, it might be hard to make a vacuum reach all the way to the bottom of the raked windshield... but these pics are very encouraging!!! I might do that instead of spending $180+ for the new plastic piece.

Won't the cover on the passenger side affect the airbag deployment in case of an accident?

no...its the stock cover recovered and reinstalled with the factory "bonding agent" and teather thats bolted to the dash

only the top part is bonded...the sides and the bottom are just interference fit ...

Great idea! Fixes something that always breaks and gets rid of the damn glare! Reminds me of the wife's GTO interior... A few more covered pieces below the beltline (glove box, kick panel, replace carpet on door, etc...) and it will look factory !

Also, put a cabin filter on the car (do a search, you have to custom make them for our cars) and you won't have to worry about it getting dusty...

Cool dude!!

I may have to add that to the list of things for my interior.

I'm doing something similar to mine, microsuede covering on almost everything, I'm going to 3-tone it though. The Charcoal, Tan to match the rest of the interior, and Red to match the exterior.
