Changing hud lights color

I need to replace 2 lights that burned out in my hud. I was wondering if it would be cool to change to red or possibly blue lights. I was thinking about leaving the stock overlays and getting colored lights. I know it would only matter at night but has anyone done this and how did i come out and how did you like it?

HUD - as in Heads-Up-Display? if so, it's not possible to change to color AFAIK.. It's a VFD (Vacuum Flourscent Display) which really only works in one color which is the bluish green color they are stock.

If you are talking about something else.. I don't know what.

I want to take apart the guage cluster that has the speedo, odometer, and other guagexs and change the back lights to colored ones. It is possible im just wondering whether i should go white (stock) or try blue/red. I know it is possible.

Re: Changing hud lights color

You are just talking about the Gauge Cluster then... that's not the HUD... No F-Body ever came with one of those.

There are plenty of topics on this in this section, just do a quick search and you'll find many threads on changing the color of the cluster.
