i like joecool72's idea on the old school badges, but i'd like to see them on a car to get an idea of how it'd look on my car. and for the spooser look....ppl already ask me if its an SS and i've only driven it for one week in November....all i do is tell em its a Z with the SS hood and spoiler....so idk why you guys are hating the SS badges....its no big deal to me...and i wouldn't try to sell it as an SS because i'm not an a$$ like that...comparing Honda's to camaro's isn't cool either...puttin SS badges on a V6 camaro is stupid...i just don't understand why you guys are jumpin all over the idea of it...

This has always been a "big deal" for as long as I can remember. I think most people don't say anything at all about SS wheels, spoiler, and hood... the expensive stuff. BUT, as soon as SS badges are placed on a non SS car, that's where the line is usually drawn and if you do this, you'll draw criticism from many.

Personally, I would do everything but would not do the dash plaque or SS badges. I'm not saying this because I have an SS (or three ) and am an "snooty SS owner" but because that is the way I have always thought even before I got my first one

To tell you the truth, I don't think we have any on this board. Most people here are aligned with what I said above... SS and non SS owners.

I personally don't care what people do to their car. But, if I see SS badges on a non SS car, I'll raise an eyebrow. Same goes for like a Dale Earnhardt GMMG car. If it isn't one of these cars then don't put the airbox lid emblem or rear panel emblem on it that you found in the junk yard even if you have made your car to look exactly like one. I don't have one of those and feel the same way about THAT type car so what I'm saying has nothing to do with me actually owning an SS vs not owning an SS

i too would raise an eyebrow if i saw one at a show or something but there is no way to tell if you saw one driving down the road. maybe everyone is right. i guess i'll just shave the badges and have nothin, then i'll just make everyone think what i have because all you can do is here it and wonder until its too late ...lol...

Ok heres my .02 on this. If he wants to put the SS badges on the sid eof his car let him do it. If people think he's a poser then so what. SOmetimes I think some of you SS owner get mad b/c you spent more money on an SS than it would be to fix a z28 to be an SS. I personally don't care. I kept my z28 badges though b/c it's a z28 why change that?

The ones you licked to arent htenumbered plaques.

I have two of them, one is number C148, the black has chipped off, but its still a real one. and looks good, lots of them end up like this. and one key fob in good condition.

and I have number 1570 in mint condition. with both key fobs in mint condition.

both are real. the C one is a Canadian number.

I would be willing to part with either or both, as I care more about money then someone wanting to put them on their car.
