Which bra?

I want to get a bra cover for my 94 Z28 and am wondering who makes a good one? I need to cover the whole front piece, the front couple of inches of the fenders and the hood piece. Where can I get a good one and also are they removeable without permanent marks on the car? How do they attach to the car?
Thanks for any help, I know they are ugly but I have to drive down a dirt road and don't want all the paint chipping off and want to cover a small crack in the front corner of the fender.

I have one for sale if you're interested. I used it once for my 96 SS. It is made by LeBra, like new still in the box. $40 and I'll ship it to ya. Hell, I'll be in Michigan this weekend, maybe we could meet some where? PM or email me if you're interested

Snaksknr, if it covers the hood and front of the fenders and is in great shape then I'll take it, just email me at vellaj@cooley.edu and let me know where you are going to be in Michigan or if you want to mail it.

Thumbs down

Just my $.02 here, but I hate the looks of bras on cars (unless the front end is F'd anyway ) then I can understand why you'd want one...........................otherwise, you're just covering up a nice front end.

.....................and on a side note, bras on women cover up nice looking front ends (ie: headlights) too!

Hey that's funny, I have the same opinion about the 'sport appearance package'. It's not very 'sporty' and it doesn't do much for the 'appearance' ....just my .02 of course .

Sounds good JP2002LS1...I'll let you know what's going on this afternoon.

I would not use a bra on my car either. I've yet to see one, even properly installed, to not mess up the paint under the bra. Yes it protects your pain from chips and such, but it does damage the paint underneath in the process

I know bra's are ugly but I am a broke college student and just bought this 94 Z28 to make up for my 02' Z28 I had to sell because I am in law school now, my 94' has a crack in the front bumper cover and a small crack in the front corner of the fender plus a chip in the hood so I figured a bra would solve all my problems the cheapest way and I think it will look better plus my car is teal with black mirrors and an all black top so a black bra won't look that bad on my car.

Wink

I guess I can accept that! I'd rather see someone put a bra on their car to cover up some "sins", but I can't stand seeing them on cars "just for looks" that are in good condition...........cause they don't enhance looks any, IMO.....................................however, they do look a lot better than a ton of chips, cracks and scratches, so in that case, I don't have a problem with them.

It depends where you live... here ... roads are MEGA Dirty and a bra is very useful.. but it rained once and it fried my paint with the sun later on...

Oterwise.. I think I have the COLEMAN... It has held up for awhile with 140mph+ runs... although I dont use it anymore..

Exclamation

A bra is useful if used properly, hell on your paint if it isn't. In the pic in my sig, there is a bra on my car, but that's only because I was on a road trip. I try to protect the front of my car when I take it out on the interstate, but that's it. I've probably only had it on about 5 times. It's when you put it on and leave it on like a permanent fixture that it does damage to your paint. If you get a cheap one, you're also asking for trouble. On my last T/A I had a Le' Bra and a Covercraft, and both of them sucked. The Le' bra flapped in the wind and scuffed my paint and finally destryed itself. The covercraft didn't have much lining on the back to protect the paint. Get a Wolf Bra, it will fit like skin and protect your nose nicely.

EDIT: the sig link ain't working, try this if you want to see: http://groups.msn.com/DirtyRiders/pi...hoto&PhotoID=8

Airtight, where did you get your Wolf bra from? It looks cool on the black t/a, also the red seats and rims really set that car off. It looks like it fits like a glove.

I bought the Wolf Bra from a guy on this board a couple of years ago, actually. Yes, it fits very well, it's the best one I've owned. Thanks for the compliments on my T/A. The red seats came stock, I've heard they didn't put them in too many of them. Hope you find a good bra for your ride soon.

Personally, I hate car bras after having them on past vehicles. *BUT*, if you really want one, look for a Colgan. They OEM for makes such as BMW, Mercedes and Porsche, and are the nicest ones I've ever seen -- much nicer than both LeBra and Wolfe.
