fwiw, Sylvania makes a "cool blue" replacement bulb line. I have them on my 'bird so I can only assume they would be available for the camaro. Got them from AutoZone and if I recall correctly they were $14 a piece.

okay I used to want those blue lights too when i had my 93 camaro and i could never find them cause you have to replace the whole houseing or get real techincal and remove the blub the from it, but water will leak in. somebody posted a link here a while back, like two weeks ago and they had this place that sold some that look like the hid type kits and they were like 40 bucks a pair. i got some on 2000 and talk about easy to put in. its worth it if you can get them. hope it helps.

You really should read wraiths write up on blue bulbs and other color bulbs visibility i know for sure blue bulbs suck for lighting up the road i have mystic lens blue light fog lights and they dont light the road up at all and you cant even tell they are on in the rain if you do go blue "cool blues" are fine and hyperwhites are fine too but just straight out blue you wont see 10 feet in front of you on a dark road just to give you fair warning do what you want though

AW White Z is right,

By tinting a 55w or 65w bulb "BLUE" you are filtering out alot of light that would normally illuminate the road. The sylvania or phillips "cool blue" bulbs will look SLIGHTLY bluish white, you can hardly notice. These are street legal because they are just BARELY tinted. Not worth the $ in my opinion.

If you want the "cool blue" or HID look and want better illumination than stock, then you have to upgrade the wattage of the bulb. Xenon, Nokya, FX, Krypton, all make TRUE 100w bluish bulbs that if wired correctly, will upgrade both the LOOK and the PERFORMANCE of your stock housings. Other brands market their product as 100w on the box, but if u read them, they are just saying they are the EQUIVALENT of 100w, which is BS. The key here is that you are taking a 100w bulb which would normally blind oncoming traffic, and then filtering it for the bluish HID hue. This results in both bright lighting, AND better looks.

I have blue lights on my high beams in my Z and I will tell ya that the light isn't that bright. You are better off with like a bright white bulb. I have a hard time seeing anything but the road. Like deer for instance. But if you like them then you can get them because I have xenon blue bulbs.

I posted here about these a couple of weeks ago...mine were supposed to be here Friday, but they weren't, so maybe they'll be here today. If I don't like them, I am going to sell them, or ship them back if noone is interested. I am really really picky when it comes to stuff like that, so there is a chance that they don't meet my standards I will let you know when I get them, if you are interested, one way or the other (if I like them, or if I want to sell them...)
