Bend in rims...OK????

I found a set of rims forsale that is going for a good price, and it's exactly what I want. But two of the rims have a minor bend on the rim. It doesn't look like anything bad, just something minor. It looks like it's bent a couple mm, if you're looking at it from striaght above. Tire pressure remains fine too. Also, can this minor stuff be fixed? If so what does this typically cost? Thanks a lot.

BIGKerneL44 is right about the rims possibly causing a problem. I bought some y2k c-5 rims that I thought only had a minor curb bend on 2 of the rims. Turns out they came off a flipped c-5, and the bends on the lip where only the visible damage. I couldn't tell until I bought tires and had the rims mounted on the car that the rims were bent at the spokes. So as I drove down the road my tires wobbled back and forth, and one actually warped one of my rotors(not sure if it was the rim or not actually, I only noticed it when I swapped my stock rims back on the car). I got my rims for a good deal, so I thought. Now I know why. So you may want be a little careful about that. If the rims are local and have tires on them, ask if you can have them balanced before you buy them, if they're bent they won't be able to balance them, and then you'll know. Good luck. Hopefully you'll be alright. And if having the rims fixed can be pretty expensive, so it may not be worth it.

Yep, looks alot like one of my rims. The other one had a smaller dent but it's the one that was bent the most. You can hammer the dent out with a rubber shot-filled mallet, but it takes time and won't turn out perfect, but it will look better. Like I said before, try to see if you can get them balanced before you buy. If they come out good, and the dent doesn't bother you, then go ahead. Good luck.

It might be a "good price" for a healthy rim, but I doubt its a "good price" for a damaged rim. The question is "how did that damage occur"? Was it enough to bend or crack other parts of the rim that you can't see?

I personally would not risk my life with that rim to save a few $$$$. JMHO.
