Before/after my 89 RS

The ol girl got her second chance after sitting for 9 months, i had the LT1 in my 95 Z lock up so i said F it and pulled the 89 outta the backyard.

Motor had a rod bolt back off, thats why i parked it so long ago.

Was lookin so rough i had to take it to another level.

Got the motor fixed with some older heads on it, went back all roller.

I tucked all the exposed wiring, cleaned the gunk off, hit it with scotch brite and a coat of rustoleum gloss black.

Slapped the heart back in.

Got it running again, no problems at all.

Out side was looking really bad.

Prepping and sanding took a night.

Back in black...

All back together after a night of street fun.

Hope you guys like it, took about 6 days total.

Thanks man, i honestly had my mind set for just running and reprimed by november 15ish, and that wasnt even thinking about redoing the engine compartment. My hood blew off the other day cranking about 140 mph, i pick up a new 4 inch glasstek cowl for 200$ today. I will miss the L88, it was a different hood unlike any other third gen.
