Lloyd Elliot LT4 head flow #'s
Lloyd Elliot LT4 head flow #'s
Just got my #'s back from Lloyd. I asked him to do a "street" porting job rather than a "full port" since he said it would give me better low end power. Later on if I go for a supercharger or turbo I may have them touched up a bit to get the last few cfm.

Interesting numbers. I compared them with my ported heads from Lloyd. Something's wrong with the numbers for your .100 exhaust. Maybe they are the .050 numbers?
The LT1s stack up pretty well in this case.

Hey Kuma, are you in Los Angeles are as well? I was talking to Brad via email about his setup passing smog and he has not had to test it yet. Are you planning on passing smog with your new setup? What cam will you be running with those LT4 heads?

He was gonna charge me the same regardless of street or full port, but he recommended a street port for a fat powerband, esp. since I don't plan on running it above about 63-6400 rpm in its current form.
I'm just gonna run the Hotcam with it for now, never had a car that put out this much power before as is...may go with S/C or turbo later after rebuild.
Yeah, I thought somethin was funky with the .1 exhaust...

Yea I'm about to have Lloyd port a pair of stock LT1 heads to max...he claimed ~275/190ish....200cc.....$1200.....
Doesn't seem like too bad of a deal...
While we're on it...anyone care to guess my current hp/torque numbers from the mods in my sig....
Thanks!

Kuma and llafro:
maybe i'm the only one that's noticed, but you have EXACTLY the same flow numbers... EXACTLY.
I think a mistery is afoot... unless he's a machine (CNC) how in the world he got the EXACT same intake numbers on two sets of heads is a mistery to me. So, are these heads CNC'd or hand ported?

llafro,
good to hear. I thought for a second that Lloyd was posting flow numbers from one set of heads for all his heads. I should have known better. Sorry for the confusion, its been a long day.

FYI: Here are my LT1 heads from Llyod with larger Ferrea Valve. I am pleased.

I agree the LT1 stacks up well here, esp. with the full port. Acc'ding to Lloyd, the LT4 will go up a bit higher ultimately, to a little over 290 at "full port," but it sounded like it wrecks the low end of the powerband.
Seemed to me like the .6 value for exhaust on the LT4 heads is a bit low, esp. considering the values listed on http://www.malcams.com/legacy/misc/headflow.htm
