On average, how much do GFX cut down on road clearance?
Just curious cause the area I live in has tall speed bumps and I really don't want to pull the front clip off going over one. I know GFX cut down on clearance but I'm curious as to how much is lost due to installing GFX. I know the number will vary with each kit, I'm just trying to get a general idea.
Thanks
Thanks

Not much but noticeble. I have a 98 camaro w/ the rk sport kit on it and it is pretty low. I cant pull too close to curbs or it will hit and not to mention i have so many chips on the front facial its ridiculous. You just have to take driveways, speed bumps, etc... at an angle and at a slow pace but i dont have many problems w/ speed bumps just pulling and backing out of driveways. Hope that helped a little.

the 98 and up will be different than the 93-97. I have the wings west kit on mine but the clearance is not bad at all. The only thing i have a problem with is a dip. Pulling into some parking lots that dip down and then go back up will get the front every time.

Whatever you get you have to remember to think when you park. I don't have gfx, but my stock '95 Z28 has near problems when I park in the parking garage at school. In order to pull up enough, I have to get the nose slightly over the curbing area, and I just noticed that the other day.
Well, long story short, it dashed my ideas of getting the car lowered. If the car were lowered, I would not just scrape the underside... I would completely destroy the front end of the car.

you just have to be careful. As far as the sides and back, they don't affect anything. Things under the car are lower that the side skirts. The front will scrape on everything if you are not careful. It will be lower than a parking stopper thing. Kinda a pain in the *** for parking but you get used to it and it's worth the hassle

There are some sacrifices that have to be made for many of the appearance mods.

I bearly cleared curbs with my WW kit, but I can forget about it since I lowered it. I'm in the process of installing an aftermarket 4-sensor parking assist module in the nose of my car. That way, I'll know how close the curb really is...If you have a lowered car w/ ground effects, you better start learning to back into parking spaces and parallel park...
