I have seen many pictures and cars with the vette insert on the American Sports car Design big block style hood. I know a few people on the board here have them too. The thunderracing.com photo that is used to sell the hood even appears with it on. I am looking for the insert. Does anybody know where i can find one and how much they cost?? Help greatly appreciated because i am finishing up all my appreance mods and will post pics as soon as i can get this insert.
car is 95 Z with ASCD bb hood.

I have already tried a search and not found where i can get one and how much it will cost. I really would love this insert. Come on guys i know there are a few people out there that can shed some light on this post.

I got my insert out of a corvette magazine called Ecklers . It costed me around 65 bucks. Hope this helps

If you do this yourself, be sure to measure and make a pattern and be sure of your fit before you cut.

 

Did you get it? I too am looking but I see Ecklers has discontinued that insert

 

Just what is this insert? The middle part in the front? Mine already came like that. Or is it some kind of cutout/ram air type of thing?

 

Sorry to bring up an old post... but i am new and i tried a search first and could not find out my answer. I want to find the 67 vette insert for the ASCD big block style hood. I looked at rowleycorvette.com but i can't seem to find it on the site. Does anybody have the part number or links to where i can buy it. Eklers.com has discountinued the part and i am stuck searching. Thanks a lot for helping a newbie!

The part description is 67 Hood Grille 427 and the
ROWLEY part number is #1187 However be aware that it doesn't follow the contour of the stinger or the sides very well and need modification to work with the ASCD Hood. Hope this helps Good luck!
