I'll strongly disagree.

Ditto. It can be unsafe if too dark, but in my LIMITED experience with it, I've seen no problems with them.

well i wouldnt say VERY unsafe, but you are right, and actually they are illegal where I live too i think. However, I have yet to have an incident where it was obvious that someone didnt see my signal. You can definetly tell when they are on, just dimmer of course. I probably wouldnt have them if my car were my daily driver, in fact I gaurantee I wouldnt.... same with my tailight blackouts.

oh and to contribute to the thread: SPINNERS!

I actually had the blackouts on my first camaro. They are illegal and unsafe no offense Ibanez, but in daylight/sunlight it's almost impossible to see the turn signal.

Well, I've never seen or have had a problem with them... One word versus another, I guess. One brand versus another... I think they're completely visible during the daytime. As far as illegal, cops have never said anything to me.

- fake-HID blue-color-coated bulbs. can't stand'em

- HUGE aftermarket wings... they just look weird on 4th gens. I dig the Mecham wings, some custom 70's/NASCAR lip spoilers, and the stock T/A and Firehawk stuff... but generic wings have always bugged the hell atta me.

- wheel stem lights... DON'T DO IT

- chrome, gigantic wiper arms... leave it stock or stream-line them somehow... 3" thick wiper arms from the Pep Boys discount bin should STAY on sale.

- gotta agree on the chrome wheel well lips. I have yet to see a car that those look good on.

That's about it. Pretty open to most things, but some gimic/cheezy items just get under my skin some times.
It must be something in the water round here, ya forgot
spinners/shooters (who Tf came up with those?)
neon anything anywhere
spoilers that look like they came off a 70' RoadRunner
kits & wings (Sheriff friend says "they shatter like glass in a fender bender, its fun to watch the owners clean it up")

add me into blackouts - it looks stoopid

-Ground fx , and the ungodly aweful looking big spoilers .

-tailpipes that go past the rear bumper , this is so common , yet looks so ridiculous .

-Center exit exhaust

-Firebird ram air hoods on camaros

I have a V6 with an exhaust and I get a ton of compliments. It is fairly quite. You can hear it inside taking off, but can't at cruising speeds. It sounds very close to a V8 at idle, and sounds very good up to 3500 RPM. Oh, the muffler I had came off of a stock Trans Am. My tips also come past the bumper. I have the dual outlet dtm tips to resemble a quad exhaust system. But since they turn up and kinda flow with the bumper, they look nice. Just trying to defend the V6's.

Oh and Vinyl flames on cars flames just don't look right unless they are painted

red and yellow...nuff said

stick on dash overlays

shift ***** from auto zone or pep boys

Exhaust on V6's
(I would never put an exhaust on a V6. Maybe tips but no exhaust)

Paying to get your entire car painted from stock red to some other red that looks exactly the same and expect everyone to notice

I have so many more but I also have a life I need to get back to
I had my car painted a brighter red and yes you can tell a huge difference

One of the worst things IMO are rear window louvers! Fortunately I've never seen a 1st or 4th gen with them, only 2nd and 3rd, but WTF do people like about them!?!? They are SO 70's/80's, and tacky as hell! They go along perfectly with the ghetto/mullet stereotype IMO.
