Anyone repaint their silver engine bay?
I remember seeing a picture someone posted of their repainted engine bay. It was sebring silver metallic. Does anyone still have the picture?
I was going to ask the guy who did it what he did about the rust he (if like me) found along the edges of the sheets of steel that hold the radiater, headlights, etc.

Your's looks great, but I remember a different picture. The pic I remember seeing showed the entire engine compartment. I seem to remember the owner saying they used Duplicolor paint to paint it.
Did you have any rust to take care of? Mine has a spot of it here and there; all of the locations are places mainly where the radiator cover bolts on as well as along the edges of the steel in other painted areas. I've never done any paint work before, so I'm worried about making things worse. Any advice for a novice? At this time, I cannot remove the engine and such. I can remove things temporarily, but not everything, I still have to drive the car daily. I thought if I got rid of some of the rust and painted over it, I might be able to slow down the rusting problem.

I used the duplicolor rattle can and did the entire engine bay with it. There was no clear coat because I wasn't sure if it was going to turn yellow or not. As for the area where the radiator bolts on to I just sanded everything down including the edge and hit it with primer. The only thing that causes rust is exposure to air and moisture so if you prevent that you should be fine.
I live in sunny southern california so its VERY VERY rare that you'll see a car thats totally rusted through.
If you do a search for my SN you'll find the thread with all of the steps I took to paint it. It should be pretty easy to do the radiator edge if you mask everything off. Also try not to gouge the metal because it'll show up underneath the paint.
