Anyone with a Older Camaro (93/94ish) Have problems when putting on Newer Fbody Rims?

Hey guys,
in the LT1 Tech section i had made a post about my problem with my pass. rear wheel.

Anyways, did anyone ever just take newer SS rims or something similar and throw them onto your older LT1 and NOT have any problems afterward? Actaully i'm looking for the people that DID have a problem either while putting them on the rear axels or after they put them on.

I encountered a problem where my pass. rear wheel is wobbling and making this clinking sound and i believe from the trouble i had putting it on the first night, that it might be b/c of the hub size where i would need to sandpaper the center of the wheel so it'll fit better.

So, anyone ever hear anything like this and/or experience this?

Thanks guys

I had problems with mine on the rears. I just took a dremel tool to my hub and the inside of the rim and grinded away a little of it to make it fit right. Usually that's all you have to do.

Every one I've installed wheels on has required the rears to be ground out a MM or two. It's possible you didn't grind it out enough and the wheel did not seat fully, causing a wobble.

Thanks Whistler!
I cant wait for that panel

When u grind the wheels, u use a dremel i assume right? I know you could use sandpaper etc. but i would think a dremel would be the fastest/easiest way...So i'll go pick one up tomorrow..

thanks again guys!

I had problems with my wheels. I decided to change the wheels after the crash and conversion. After taking it out of the shop my rear wheels would make a loud noise and wobbled alot. I decided to grind the rear wheels because the noise only came from the rear. Now after doing that I don't have any problems. Besides a weird clicking sound everytime I slow down. But I doubt it's the wheels, its coming from underneath.
