Anyone have white headlight bulbs?

Wanting a good set of bulbs to replace the yellow looking halogens. I want something with decent visibility that's a whiter color and that also will last more than a month or two. Any ideas?

Edit: Ooops...didn't really mean to post this in the lounge, but if anyone has any ideas, then shoot.

My buddy had them in his GTP and they looked for the most part like regular halogen bulbs to me I've seen some bulbs I like in a few different cars...two of which were camaros, but always in passing and I wasn't able to ask them what kind of bulbs they are. The guy at Autozone recommended PIAA bulbs, but I've never seen them on a vehicle, don't know how long they last, and they cost a $hitload in the event that they are not what I'm looking for.

YEah, Yeah! .. Was trying to think of it... They're almost HID, white. W/ a slight blueish HID color... NICE!

+1 for Silverstars

I put em on my 91Z28 and they were worth every penny, at least twice as bright, and a nice clean white color on the ground. They do appear to have a slight blueish tint when looking directly at the bulb, but the actual light out on the road is white.

Just to warn you with silver stars, it gets very old laying down $20 to replace bulbs when they do burn out, and they will burn out, im not looking for an argument but just giving an opinion. i have em in my Grand cherokee and I absolutely love em!

Yeah, that's how all the white bulbs I've had are though..the best lasting a year, the worst getting changed every month and a half--but the latter were $4 ebay bulbs, so I wasn't so upset. I love the white light and have recently been convinced that my buddy DID NOT have silverstars, he's just an idiot. So I'll give em a shot. Thanks guys.

I have used Luminics (Pure Blue) bulbs with great success. Do a Google search for Luminics bulbs and check them out.

Re: Anyone have white headlight bulbs?

Just bought some silverstars and put them in in the parking lot so I could check them out on the ride home. It's raining, so it's not a great time to test a white bulb, but I will say they are very bright. Not as white as some I've seen, but we'll see. Thanks for all of your replies. I'll check out those Luminics right now. If I have any problems or decide I don't like the Silverstars, I'll try those.
