anyone ever paint engine and polish without dissasembling?

well, weather is finally looking good and its time i start making my car look pretty. I cant afford to really by any engine appearance things so ive decided to polish everything i can under the hood and paint the intake black with polished fins and fuel rails.

only thing is car is my daily driver and i have no garage... soooo i bought hi temp brush on black paint... wet dry paper, degreaser and buffing rags.

so far i have the intake painted with 4 good coats of black and have polished the fuel rails and it looks real good... have my alternator, MAF sensor and throttle body on my desk about ready to start polishing in my bathroom

so anyone else this dedicated to keeping the car nice without money?
and if so howd it turn out?
