Im about to get my ss hood painted and i went around asking for estimates and one shop gave me 450 for just the hood and 650 for hood and blend the paint........another shop gave me 850 for hood and blend.......and another shop gave me 250 for just the hood and i have to install it. Now my question is Is the blending really nessasary? Is it a BIG difference if i just get the hood painted?

 

just depends. if you have a darker color, such as blue or black, then the blending may be necessary. when i had my 93 Z, i bought an SS Hood/Spoiler for it and had then entire car painted for $800. But that wasnt a shop..it was a guy who painted on his own time. Might wanna try and find someone that does it on their own time, that way you can save some $$$
