Is it possible to use the amber tails on the pre 97 cars without the new harness? I know you have to run an extra wire to the brake pedal (light blue), but do I have to use the harness from the 97? Is there a mod you can do to the old harness? If not modifyable, what is the difference?

 

Trust me - save yourself the trouble and buy a new harness off eBay for $25.

It is possible - but it's a pain in the butt - worth every bit of just buying the '97+ harness.
