I have the first gen smoked versions, and yes they are plastic. What is your idea? I have an idea of my own, but I am too afraid of ruining a $200 set of lights just to try it.

Off topic, but I looked at your page and noticed you had Wet Okole seat covers...How are they? Feel? Fit? Are they really snug or is there any looseness at all? Move around when you sit on them? And how much were they?

thanks alot guys. i know most people dont like chrome thats why i think this is a good idea. i posted this last week. my friend showed me people painted the chrome in their headlights of their cougars. its just the chrome backround like the altezzas and it looks bad ***. if i pop the clear cover off the altezzas and sand and paint the chrome the color of my car it will look bad ***. cause i know the cougars did. hope it turns out alright and i hope i can find some cheap altezzas to do it to. wish me luck, and it might take a couple months to get my dad to help me hes busy.

Oh, and also, just took my Altezza off tonight, got sick of the leaking and the silicone....still leaked. Fogged to hell...glad I kept the stock lights. Back to normal now, but out 200 bucks, will experiment with my Altezza lights now though, sand them, paint them red, seal them...who knows, just sitting in my closet. I will rebuild them...LOL...nothing to loose, even if I break them.

I thought about doing the same thing. I have the carbon fiber "Look". I had to reseal both of them about a month ago and thought of it when I was doing that. They do reseal great though, no problams since. Post pics if you do this, and check around and see if you can find any that have messed up that people will give you. Thats what I am doing right now!!! If I get it done first I will post.!!!!

kinda preview pic

this is a pic of a car with paint in the headlights. my dad has a poster with an identical car in it and it looks 10 times better than this pic http://www.jorsm.com/~jpanfil/yellow%202k1%20modena.JPG

http://www.sportcars.co.uk/Sportcarsmain/mypics/3/ this one is a little bit better. this might end up looking like carbon fibor on black cars or chrome on white. but its original and i hope it works
