Aftermarket tach or shift light
Re: Aftermarket tach or shift light
because the factory tachs aren't precise, they're usually about 200-400 RPMs off the mark, and it's tough to calibrate one past 6500 if he has a cam installed.
Lots of people think they look cool. I don't, they're ugly and tacky, but they ARE helpful.

Also can someone point me in the right direction of the shift light that plugs into & works with the msd boxes? Thanks
Re: Aftermarket tach or shift light
well, i have only the shift light, a harlen at that (amazing little number), and mine is installed in the air vent, to the right of the driver (above the radio)...
thats all you need, if you ask me, as it tells you when you're at a set rpm... and is accurate, thus no need for big ugly tachs....
for the record, i LOVE my harlen shift light.. i know i dont need it, as i never really push my v6 (there's nothing to push)... but its nice to have
