A4 Shifter...

has anyone ever tried to shorten the shifter in an A4 camaro? i think its kinda ugle up that high. I was thinking it would look better if about 3/4 of the stalk part under the **** itself just wasn't there....kinda like some of the new luxury cars with the really short shifters in the console......

is there anyway to get the **** off and cut the tube down????

I cut mine down about an inch with a rotozip. Make sure to cover up all of the front interior before hand. Make sure to measure how far the white plastic rod is past the top and repeat that when you make the cuts or cuts. I want to take off about another 1/2" or so. I have a b&m slam shifter instead of the stock one.
Take a look in my sig on page 2 and you will see it complete.
Peace
