98 or newer firebird fenders

I can't remember on my 99 and i don't have anyone aroudn that has a newer bird. Are the air extractors on the fenders molded from the factory or is it a peice that was put in place of a cutout. Only reason i ask is i really would like something on the sides of my car.

if your talking about the plastic vents...those are just a piece..they unscrew and come right out. I have billet aluminum vetns custom made in mine.

Yea it's made into the fender itself. But, I bet you could get a newer fender and get that part molded into your fenders.

Has anyone tried to interchange these fenders? I thought they were different, but after looking at them side by side the dimensions look VERY similar. I would like to put these on my car as well. Another option would be to buy the plastic welding kit from the Eastwood co.
