Question 98'-02' Trans Am Tail lights?

Can the 98'-02' Trans Am tail lights be modified into clear tail lights? I have seen this done on a a 97' WS6, thanks to a search done on this site, which provided pics and details of how to do it. Taking out the red deflector, basically.

Now I am wondering if anyone has done this to their 98 + Trans Am? If there are any pics of this? And how easy/hard was it to do?

If you really want to convert to "clears", I'll be glad to trade you my 94 tail lights for your 98+ honeycombs..... .

Nope sorry Injuneer, I am looking to see what 98+tail lights look like cleared to get a better idea of how it would look. I like the honeycombs a lil better!

I've seen a couple posts on people doing it to the 98-02 lights, but not in a little while. I believe they removed the red deflector similar to the older style. Someone here has to know how to do it.

But I added 12mph.... Does that tell you there might have been a traction problem....

I believe only the 93-97 TA tailights can have the "clear" mod don to them.

I did it to my old set that was on my TA....they are now on a black 97 WS6 in Edmond/Guthrie, OK....it can be done, but it is a SLOW, painful process....I decided I would forgo the ricer BS and sold them. I'll stick with my current stock '99 tailights....
