94 Iroc?

When I bought my car I was looking for an IROC but I "settled" for my 94 Z28 because it drove so much better then the 3rd gens I drove. My car did not come with any ground effects and I'm ready for new paint(respray of stock red). I am looking for ground effects and decals to make my 4th gen look as close to the IROC as possible. I already have some louvers for the hood lined up. What do you guys think, and whats available? Are the IROC letters on the side decals or paint, and if they're decals where can I get them?

Don't they run Firebirds in the IROC now? I wonder why Pontiac never put out an IROC edition bird.

They don't run Firebirds at all anymore - 2002 was the last year for them, and the Camaro.
The 4th Gen F-body has never had the Italian Race of Champions as a body style.

IROC was indidginous to Camaro's only.

Ok two things with the last post!

#1) They are still running the firebirds in the IROC series!

#2) IROC = International Race Of Champions!

The IROC Package was available on the Camaro from 85-90.
It was an option available on the Z28 from 85-87, from 88-90 all Z28's were IROC's. The Z28 name returned in 91 as the sereis started running the Dodge Daytonas.

And to answer the other Question they were decals.

Not sure how the louvers will work on the fourth gen hood. The IROC's and Z's had indentations made into the hood where they bolted in, if you go bolting them on top of the fourth gen hood they are going to be sticking up and look kind of funny.

Whoops........Brain fart.......
I was thinking International.........what did I type.......Italian???
I made a mistake.........

What I thought he meant by Run Firebirds was - are they still making IROC Firebirds..........

Once again........

Thank you for nicely correcting me rather than just pointing and laughing.

its going to be pretty hard to find side skirts that look like an iroc's.

They are decals on the side, and you can buy them at your gm dealer, or probably many places online. But one question.....why?

What about when the International Race Of Champions used Porsches in the 70s?

Posing your 4th gen Z to look like a 3rd gen IROC doesn't make any sense to me? I think that you are hooked on the IROC decal, I used to like them too. The louvred hood, forget that too. Get a nice SS hood and pose as an SS instead.

You want a 4th Gen to look like an IROC? I have nothing against IROC's, but why would you do that? Please don't.

I own an iroc and a 4th gen and I'm sayin pleeeeeze dont do that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Irocs were only 3rd gen, dont change that. There's a guy around my way with 16 irocs wheels on a 94 Z28, and it's ugly as hell. As far as the I.R.O.C race series thats where the name for the production model came from (not 4th gens).

ROF MAO

I would actually like to see it done. Louvers would be cool. Get some RS ground effects. Don't know what you can do about the spoiler. Maybe the RS one too I really like it. And yeah, see if you can get ahold of some chrome 18" IROC rims.

Good luck
