94 Front Fender Help For a Rookie
94 Front Fender Help For a Rookie
Good morning guys. This is my virgin post, so take it easy on me, lol.
I bought my 94 Z28 about a month ago. It only has 67,000 miles on it, and the Carfax is clean. My question to the experienced enthusiast is 'What color was the plastic that the front fenders were molded from?'
Here is the reason I ask: The body on the Camaro is straight, and the body lines are fairly consistant where the different panels meet, ie hood, nose cone, fender, etc. If I look on the inside of the front fenders, near the wiper cowl, it appears the 'inside' of the fenders are yellow. Now that I know where this is, it stands out, although the average person wouldn't notice it.
Have my front fenders likely been replaced? I know that Carfax isn't 100% accurate. The exterior paint on the fenders matches the rest of the body perfectly, and there are literally NO other signs (there aren't even wrench marks on the bolts that hold the fender on) that the fenders have been replaced. I've poked around at other 4th gens that I've seen in parking lots, but I haven't seen the yellow..........
Hoping someone might help me.
Thanks again,
Dave

I have a paint chip on my front nose, and the color beneath the paint is black, or a dark grey. But I'm not sure if that's primer, or not. I am at work right now, but will check my car later today, and post back, to verify if my side front fenders are yellow, or some other color.
