4th Gen Shifter question...

Hi All,

I've just picked up a 94 Z28 with an automatic trans and it's basically stock. I've had five 3rd Gen. Z28s in the past and have used a B&M Megashifter on the last two. My question is:

Is there a way to fit a Megashifter to a 4th Gen. Camaro console or am I stuck with the stock shifter?

Thanks in advance for any and all info that anyone may help me with and have a good summer.

I don't know how much of a help this is, but this is what I've heard (which isn't much because I own a M6. So take this as a grain of salt as I could be thinking of something else). I have read that people have done it, but it isn't a direct swap. Here is some pictures of something similar (I think) and lots of people consider this one of the cleaner installs:

Thanks for the info and thanks especially for the pic, Counted Out.
The shifter base and boot was one of my concerns and the pic pretty much covers it. I guess that I either got fab work to do or just go with another type of shifter.

Once again, I appreciate the help. Take care and good luck with your ride.

It will work, you just need to use a manual shift bezel and boot assembly. Also you will have to get a little creative with the mounting. It has been done many times, Try a search in the drivetrain forum.
