No I met with him and he told me the situation was all cleared up so I forgot to post the answer. Guess it wasn't cleared up after all. Maybe a case of mistaken identity?

ALL 2002 Camaros had the 35th plaque on the dash.

Ugh, stupid dealers. Check it out - the 2002 Camaro brochure. Hmm, tan seats. That would mean it's not a 35th right?
