2+2 rear seats?

well after glancing in a GTO I saw the rear seats were irresistable, and if I could I'd love to have that style...

does anyone know if this can be done or anything?

Re: 2+2 rear seats?

I've never seen the GTO seats but 2+2 means that the rear seat folds down, which Fbodies already do.

Re: 2+2 rear seats?

2+2 means that there are 2 front, and 2 rear seats. Has nothing to do with the seats folding.

Re: 2+2 rear seats?

Not sure what you want since camaro and firebird models don't have a bench seat in the back (Mustangs do).

I assume you want complete bucket seats in the back?

Post a pic of the GTO seats.

Re: 2+2 rear seats?

You could probably do that by taking the seat rails off an extra set of front seats.

The only problem would be figuring out how to bolt them in. Not too big a problem though.

NEDyno had a convertible with 4 c5 seats that dynoed there. They used to have a pic on their website. You can try PMing dean to ask if he still has the pic.

No it originally meant that there were 2 seats and you had the option to add 2 more by folding the seat up. The term really became popular on 65 mustang fastbacks with the fold down rear seat. They were known as the 2+2 fastbacks.

Why is it that Mustang guys think Ford invented everything?
The term is much older than that (1965). And is most popularly associated with high end European sports cars, like Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Jaguar, etc.
And it simply means a 4 passenger car, 2 in front and 2 in the back (2+2).
Folding seats are not a requirement.

Do the Corvette seats tilt forward so you can get in the back seat?

Re: 2+2 rear seats?

It's a good idea, but I'll tell ya it's still going to be cramped back there. Anything can be done with $$$. All you'd really have to do is mount the frontseat rails to the floor and then probably figure out a way to mount the backseats to the back... I would think that the seat if left stock would have the bottom sticking out too far. Could be wrong, tho, but hey if you wanna be the guinea pig have at it and let us know how it went.

Corvette?...Back Seat?
Yes. So that you can access the storage area behind the seats.
