is this the wrong cam or something else

From what i understand im thinking that the cam for my new street car is all wrong..

Its a 406 with dart iron eagles unported230 ccs..they are milled to 50cc chambers with 8 cc dome pistons, copper sce head gaskets 0.023 thick if i remember right..6" eagles and a stock nodualr iron crank..The cam is an older lunati custom grind from a few engines back...670/.621 with 1.5 rockers its 263*/266*@.050 cut on 106*..Ive spent the last two weeks toying around on the dynotrying to wring outthe last amount of power before i give up and just run methanol..It made 687hp@8200rpm with a holley HP950 and the cam installed str8 up..Retarding and advanceing the cam gave me little..The carb wasnt mine so i tried an 850 with the same results give or take a few numbers here and there but this came with a huge 80 dip @ 6400-7800..Right now i have the cam retarded 8 degrees and a smallish 750 speed demon carb and boom..The motor makes 721HP@7700 rpm..Not only is the peak lower wich helps me but i get a lot more power..All the carbs i tried and cam settings i played with timing and jets to help..Im thinking that the cam is way off for the rest of the combo wich would be fine but im hopeing that its not something else, namely the carb since i have to pay for it and dont want the wrong one..The intake is a super victor that i had for a few years..

Can someone shed some light here if im wrong with the cam being wrong..

Thanks

Thats going to be a street motor?
Do you plan on knocking old ladies over & make small children cry as you drive by?

I think you're doing damn sporty considering the heads you have on the motor.

I wont be driving it much..Probally 25 miles a day to work and back and some bullying on exotic in midtown atlanta..

Brady, the power output surprised me as i was never ever before able to eclipse 700hp without 18* heads..Im short on cash and the only other heads i have are old brodix canted vales..23* stuff is so cheap and i already have the headers from my old LT1.
