If you mean LT1 mine idles fine at 850 but I have a pretty big converter. With a stock converter I had to idle it at 1,000. My cam is a 236/248@.050.

Is it "average cammed" or "wild cammed"? An "average cammed" engine is not likely to be a whole lot different than a stock LT1, or MAP about 1/3 of the barometric pressure where you live. A "wild cammed" setup will more likely see MAP in the range of 50-60% of barometric.

At WOT, the MAP should be as close to barometric pressure as possible, no matter what kind of cam.... hopefully no more than 1-1.5"Hg (3-5 kPa) below barometric.

And remember, barometric pressure a sea level, on a "standard" day will be around 103 kPa, and in Denver will be dropping down into the high 8X kPa range.

Most cars will idle around 35-65 MAP I'd say, with a little bounce for the more cammed the car will be.

As for WOT I think the most I ever saw was 104 or 105 but I dont recall, and unfortunately didn't save most of my logs POST dyno tune, oops.
