variable cam advance timing?

z power thanks thats a cool design but i dont think it would hold up at high rpm and it only changes lift not duration but it would be better than 1.6 straight ratio. I might look into buying this system depending on the $. and i thought of another thing i have to put oil around the gear when im spining it for timing due to windage on the weighs unless i make it all internla with a cover on the gear.

Have you guys looked into the technology used in Formula 1 engines. I don't know much about them, but I do know they run between 17-20k rpms. They must have a relatively sophisticated valvetrain to open and close valves that fast.
