Using LT1-designed cam in L98?

I am putting together an engine for my neighbor, it's a 91 Vette with an L98. I want to run the CC305 or CC306 LT1 cam in it, as the LT1 intake is similar to the MiniRam intake we're using.
Engine has AFR 195s, longtubes, 58MM TB...etc.
Anybody had any problems?

The dowel pin on the cam might have to be grinded down or changed....measure to be sure

If your neighbor hasn't bought the cam yet, you can get a CC305 or 306 grind on a normal roller-lifter SBC core. If you've already got an LT1-core cam sitting around, you can pound in the dowel pin to the correct length.

Other than the dowel pin, is there any difference in an LT1 cam and a 86- SBC?

It would have come factory with the L98, and did until the LT1 arrived for 92'.

LT1 cams have a larger pilot hole in the nose of the cam, to accomodate the Opti.
