I am not going to argue this issue to death, because it is clear that you and the 1970's formula you are using, are beyond help.
If you do not agree that trapped VE in range, is paramount to detailing the DCR of an engine...Then I don't know what to tell you. quicky formulas like this are great, but in reality, they don't give you the solution, just a SWAG.
