How did you reach the conclusion that it will make 1,300HP?

Turbos make anything possible.

I take it he's doing a "It's gonna go, or it's gonna blow" type project. Does Baxter still have the LT1 stock block hp record at 1,125? If so we may have a new record holder here soon.

I'm a little curious about that myself.

Well thats turbo horsepower, it might not make that 1300hp at the motor, but it should be close. I estimated that the car will make around 1000hp at the wheels

I don't know that he had "the record".... Madman claimed 1,200HP on his ATI-blown LT1 engine.

One thing to keep in mind... a S/C application is making more crank HP, to drive the S/C, and get the net at the flywheel. I think they estimated over 150HP coming off the end of the crank, so the "block" was making close to 1,300HP, and when it was torn down, it showed some signs of stress, but not a lot considering it was used four years without a major rebuild. The person who bought the block is re-using it for an application that is supposed to be in the 1,100HP range on nitrous.

i'm not familiar with what blower baxter was running, i've heard all kinds of rumors but i do remember Madman was running the D-1X blower and that blower doesn't eat up 200hp. When i talked to jim summers @ ASSC (now works for ATI) the only blowers that ate up that much power were the very larger units, ie D2-D3 blowers

might want to fix that intake leak if you're looking for that majic 1300hp mark ;D

seriously though, very nice looking setup, and i hate to be the skeptic but you mentioned that, "I estimated that the car will make around 1000hp at the wheels" are those stock LT1 casting heads in the picture? i dont know what kind of boost you're planning on running but with those heads it's going to be a little more than a stretch. more power to you if it makes it, but im just a little skeptical.

His homepage has a dyno sheet that reads 937 HP and 914 TQ, at the wheels.

Just a ? , Why would you lose 300 HP to the rear wheels on a Turbo set-up if you have 1300 at the motor?
