my all pro's flow 370cfm give or take a few on a 4.030 bore, w/ a 2.15 valve.. could they go over 400 i'm sure.. but it's almost pointless on a small bore w/ the larger valve necessary to move that much air..

As far as affording all pro's vs. a 18* setup yea the heads were closely priced in parts and work to make them work.. but some like myself are stuck /w a 23* bottom end that already had a **** ton of $$$ in.. Not worth selling and starting over.. I figured i can get where i wanna go w/ what i wanted to spend on this head.. Think it's gonna be fun..

On a side note, I have dealt with AFR thru a friend of mine who is a dealer for them. Honestly if they are telling you 6-8 months you can bet you wont see a set of heads in your hands for at least a year! I opted the find another head and the TFS heads seem to be the best head on the market for an LT1 right now. I personally belive they are better than the AFR heads and I would highly recommend them over the AFR.

But if you have your heart set on AFR's you will still probably reach your goals... only it will be 6-8 months later
SBC-7s were a ****ty design??(those are what I have unfortunately)

You truly think those heads will go 400 cfm or better, on a 4.030 bore at .700 lift or lower? 30 cfm is a HUGE..almost astronomical leap over what you have gotten already, over the porting pics I saw on here, that port was opened up a good bit over the way it came to you. I would love to get more thoughts on this.

never said they were "****ty", just an older desging that has been improved upon with the release of the TFS-SBC-8 casting. I think the ports themselves are pretty close to the same with both castings.

Yea they will go 400cfm.. maybe even on a 4.030 bore. but the quality of the air would probably be ****.. on a 4.1 bore or so.. they'd be pretty kick ***.. when i got them they moved 256cfm.. after a lil bit of work they moved 340.. even at that point if we were to stop they still would make great power.. We can't race flowbench's either.. that's been proven to hurt folk's feelings.... Ron's porting has a set that goes 380cfm.. that's on a cnc.. and if you really wanna go intricate ontop of that, i feel a knowledgeable guy can squeeze 400 out of them.

The people who needed to read that post, did read it. Wasn't necessarily directed at you.

Making that power will kill the driveability of it, even at 650....daily driver status will be compromised. I would love to see other people ACTUALLY build more outer limit pumpgas LT1's.....instead of sit behind a keyboard and yap about it.

Mine has went past 4 years, mostly because of a screwed up partnership that I did away with. The other partner just wanted to buy and pile up parts..never intended for it to run.

Mine will run this year for sure.

Yeh if we all had money we would all be driving limited street cars around with tags on em LMAO.

Nothing personal, but look who's talking. "10s on radials with the A/C blasting" used to be in your sig, 3 or four years ago. Secondly, this is Cz28.com, not LS1tech.com.
