thinking about a grand national swap
thinking about a grand national swap
im thinking about swapping a gn motor into my car, doesnt seem to be too much trouble other than motor mounts. anyone got any info on the swap? thanks
this is not going to be any sort of high powered turbo car, just a basically stock rebuild with an upgraded turbo.

not sure if the 4l60 hydromatic which if i remember right is what came in the 93 v8s i konw it came in the v6's if it will bolt up. if it wont then i woudl suggest buying a bunch of parts from bmr. trans cross brace for a th350. and kmember or just change the mounts. not sure what all you will need. never done a v8-turbov6 swap. but im in the process of doing a v6-350carbed swap on my 93
Re: thinking about a grand national swap
If you do it, I'd try to swap the motor/tranny/ECM all at one time. The 200-4R's are good transmission, even if they're a little bothersome to work with. Best of luck getting the factory speedo and gauges to cooperate with the swap though.
Re: thinking about a grand national swap
