Suggest a radiator for a 510 BBC in 95 TA
Guys I need help with this one. My 95 TA has a 510 BBC in it and it cools okay in the city but any sustained driving at 35 mph or more and she starts to get hot. So, I know I need a bigger radiator. Any suggestions?
Right now I am looking at Griffin: 145202-x (Summit) or 380325 (Summit Brand)
I am hoping these will work because I don't want to spend 500 on a radiator. Please help me out guys. If you have another suggestion let me hear it.

They are 31x19 but I need to stand it upright so I can fit the thickness in there. The current stock rad and fans are hitting the water pump right now. So to accomodate the thickness I want to stand it upright instead of leaning so much.
If I shorten the width and height to those part numbers do you think the 2 core 1.5 will still work?

In addition to the rad, you might want to consider these Spal fans. They put out 2700 cfm. I run 2-11" in my setup.

I don't know. I tried to look it up on here but never found anything definitive. Just people opinions. At the time for me it was easier to just sell them to someone who needed them instead of trying to make them work so I wasn't too worried about it.
You shouldn't need or be using fans while your moving only when idling in traffic or stopped. If you do, then you need to look not only at, the rad. size but also at the ducting design. Where are you getting the air and that size is the area for air pickup and how good/clean is the flow path and is it sealed.
Use the rad. for engine cooling only. Use auxilary coolers for oil, etc.
On a forth gen. an over size air dam may be all you need.

I never really thought about that. I do have the radiator set up to only cool the engine and nothing else. Car does cool really well when idling that's why I am looking more at radiator than fans.
So I guess my mind is on the right path.

I don't think they are. I remember reading that they don't and at the time the Spal had highest cfm. I did a lot of searching before I came across the Spal. Again this was 3 yrs ago. And they are thinner than factory and I not using a shroud. When those babies come on it cools the temps down quick.
