Well, there WAS that one time at band camp...

 

I'm in agreement with saying that this is an apples to oranges arguement. Carrol Shelby was still a pioneer; he stuffed a V8 in a tiny british car, helped with the production of the GT-40, and made some really fast mustangs. But i would bet if you asked for his opinion on adiabatics you wouldnt get much of an answer. Smokey was a largely self taught engineer with some great ideas. Both will be remembered as big parts of automotive history in their own way.

everybody likes smokey because he started in the lows of racing.. real cars, illegal, legal, whatever. I'm sure shelby is a smart guy, but he has been given a lot of his acolades. it appears that shelby started out with his own ideas, hopped on with ford and then just rode the wave as he still is today.

 

Actually your wrong, I've always thought Shelby was a real hoot. It was your comparison I didn't like, and was trying to get you to back it up with some facts. But you obviouly aren't going to "bite".

 

Think of Shelby as an Americn Enzo Ferrari? You can't be serious.
