Sorry, it still has the same volume?? Just to stay on the same topic it is indeed a terrific engine. I have an SB2, I think I remember that the volume on my intake is 3000cc. I know GM makes different manifolds that are different versions of eachother. I was just curious to see if I have a restrictor manifold now. It does infact make sense that the restrictor plate manifold would be shorter because that plate is being bolted on top of it. It would still need to fit under the hood of a nascar, I didn't think of it though.

This is copied fro GM: Part #12480096 SB2.2 "Restrictor Design" Intake Manifold Upper
This upper manifold is designed for NASCAR restrictor racing and is to be used with lower manifold P/N 12370840. This manifold has more material in the runners and plenum to allow more flexibility in porting.
