?'s regarding block fill and knock sensor operation

When filling a block for large stroke applications, how does it affect the knock sensor operation? Even doing a "street fill" (1 1/2 inches) covers the hole that the knock sensor goes into. Just curious. Replies greatly appreciated.

It wont matter..It will read the know through the outside of teh block..Blockfiller usually has the same density as cast iron so the frequency shouldnt lessen..Keep in mind that your knock sensor need to be torqued down..After that you will probally need to lessen the torque spec somewhat to allow it to work with any aftermarket valvetrain and whatnot.
