Question pushrods

i have heard that when you use a roller cam you need -.100 shorter pushrods so that the rocker tip will line up in the right spot on the valve

is this true or can i just use stock lenght pushrods

Well it depends...

If it's a retro-fit hydraulic roller you probably need a pushrod that's about .500" shorter than standard length for a flat tappet cam setup. Reduced base circle cams also need a different length. The "right" length is something that depends on quite a few variables. So, the best thing to do is to buy an adjustable pushrod (used for setting length), mock everything up and adjust it until you get 'center-travel' across the valve stem. When you get it right, check the length of the adjustable pushrod and order pushrods that length.
Comp has details on their website describing this procedure.

"stock rollers"..... stock for what engine, year, etc.???

You aren't getting much in the way of responses because no one knows what engine you are talking about. These questions belong on the correct "Gen" forum.....
