Pushrod length using Morel Lifters...

Well, now that I've ruled out using Comp R's in my new stroker
I'm going to buy a set of Morel's.

My Question is.... Will they affect pushrod length requirements?
Aren't they slightly diffrent in dimension compared to a stock lifter

PR length has to be measured when you make changes to the valve train.

I haven't checked how much they change that yet.... still going to drop a set of R's in a motor and then compare the length to Morels. I'm expecting the Morels to be longer.

Yes, the Morels were/are longer, but I didn't measure how much.

Re: Pushrod length using Morel Lifters...

The body of the Morels are longer compared to the R's I was using, but that was mostly at the top of the body at/above the lifter hold downs. The lifter plunger location appeared to be close side by side, but I switched rockers as well, and ended up with a different pushrod lenght all together. Regardless, pushrod lenght has to be checked.

I will be checking the length...
Maybe the question should have been...
What is your experience with Morels and pushrod length?

Thanks for the responses!

Re: Pushrod length using Morel Lifters...

I did a check the other day and the PR length was .100 longer with the Morels over the Stock/OEM style lifters in the shop. (7.300 vs. 7.200) This is with .030 preload on the Morels and zero on the stock lifters.
