Possible to fry an MSD box by jumping battery???

Over the weekend at the racetrack (road race, not drag), we had our battery go dead in our Camaro race car. The next session out, the car had a nasty misfire, which we have yet to diagnose. Is it possible to fry an MSD box by jumping the battery?
The car is carburated with an MSD box, HEI coil and MSD cap/rotor, GM distributor.

I think there is a chance it went out. Ignition boxes are known to go out for a wide variety of reason. Just bypass it and see if it is your issue or not.

I would move this to the appropriate forum, but you do not list what car this is or have info in your sig.

Please repost in the appropriate gen forum and give details on what car you are working with. Thank you.
