Please Help With BBC Questions!!!

Guys, I read all of the threads I could this morning about manual racks, motor mounts, cutting the cowl, etc. I have looked at the various links. I am maybe more confused now than I was before. So, I'm sorry if this is a redundant post.

Here is the situation: I am putting a 500ci BBC with Dart heads in my 95 TA. I am looking for the EASIEST and/or CHEAPEST way to bolt this in?? I plan on using motor plates and I don't care if I have or don't have power steering. Makes no difference. I would problably rather keep the PS because that means keeping the K Member which eliminates the cost associated with that. I am using a powerglide trans and have already found a Trans cross member. I know about cutting the cowl and everything I'm just strictly referring to putting the motor in the bay. Anybody have an idea of the easiest way to do it?

Also, can it be done with the stock k-member and steering rack???

Another question I have is about the fuel system. Can it be regulated down or does it need to be switched out completely?

I realize many of you will feel I am an idiot for doing this conversion, but I am looking to see who can tell me HOW to do this. Most of the threads I read today died off because everyone was telling the person why to do or not do the conversion. I appreciate the knowledge of the board and am simply looking for tech info and maybe this thread can be of use to someone like me in the future, so please don't post if it's just to tell me carbs suck!!

If you must know, I was building a 396LT1 and now for the same money I'm getting the BBC, Dart heads instead of Trickflow, and a car that's very unique. I'm also putting in a 9 bolt.

Thanks guys. Help me make this thread a resource for guys to use in the future!!

Re: Please Help With BBC Questions!!!

From what I've heard, the easiest way to get it in is from under the car. Putting a BBC into a fourth gen is possible but not an easy installation.

You need to talk to people who've actually performed the swap.

Follow the links... maybe these guys can help.
