Piston to valve ?

Piston to valve ?

On a stock bottom end car what is the max lift and max dur before you will run in to problems? i am putting in a solid roller cam this winter and i don,t want the piston and valve getting to know each other?

It's not just lift, it's the valve timing as well. Other factors play a role, such as any head milling, the deck height, gaskets used, etc. So unless you are sure your combo is the same as someone else's you can't assume that a cam (and it must be the same also) that worked for them will work for you. You need to measure piston-valve clearance.

OK let,s put it this why is there any one running over 610lift and more then 250dur on a stock block and heads

this is a heads and cam combo i am going for over 400rwhp :D :D

my cam will be under those spec so what i am trying to find out is am i safe or sould i ck the pistion to valve cl?
