Piston to valve ?
Piston to valve ?
On a stock bottom end car what is the max lift and max dur before you will run in to problems? i am putting in a solid roller cam this winter and i don,t want the piston and valve getting to know each other?

thx
It's not just lift, it's the valve timing as well. Other factors play a role, such as any head milling, the deck height, gaskets used, etc. So unless you are sure your combo is the same as someone else's you can't assume that a cam (and it must be the same also) that worked for them will work for you. You need to measure piston-valve clearance.
