Pcm Help!
Pcm Help!
Ok, we are hooking my LT1 up to the bench dyno. Now we have overcome all obtacles except one. To tune the OBD2 PCM it has to be installed in the car with power. However the engine and wirig harness is on the dyno and I dont want to tear the inside of my car apart taking out the obd2 connector from under the dash and the rest of the wiring.
Is there a way to connect directly to the PCM bypassing the OBD2 connetor?? Or will I have to go to a junkyard and find an OBD2 plug connection as well as the PCM side plug and rig up some sort of cable??
I need to be able to datalog as well while its on the bench dyno so we can tune part throttle air/fuel too.
I need help ASAP !
Thanx!

04 = Power Ground
05 = PCM Ground (Engine Ground)
02 = OBDII Data = Blue 7 on PCM
16 = +12V (to power scan tool)
So, basically, if you want to bypass the PCM, all you *really* need to wire up is Blue 7 to the OBDII data wire.
You can indeed get an OBDII connector from a junkyard, I yanked a handful of them for a couple bucks a while back at a you-pull-it yard. Any vehicle 1996 or newer will have them, they're all the same. Just need to make sure you have the pins in the right spots.
Hope that helps.
