Opti substitute for bbc to keep LT1 pcm

Hi. I want to put a mild bbc in my 95 9c1 Caprice. How can I keep my stock pcm (will need to be re programmed of course). This will be a mild build up, no nos or supercharger, bigger injectors of course, max 555 hp so I believe the pcm will handle it, but how do I get the opti signals to the pcm. This will be a daily driver and I would like to keep all the cruise control, etc.

My other option is just bash in the firewall and put a distributor on it.

On the other hand, if I must go to aftermarket, what opinion of using the Holley commander and the four barrell tbi, can I have the stock pcm programmed to handle the cruise control, torque converter lockup, shift, etc. without it having engine sensor input, or can I split the sensor input to both the computers.

Thanks for any help or alternative ideas. skip

Wow. Dropping in a big block = fun
Figuring out the wiring = no fun.

Best of luck

I think a company called electromotive makes an SDI system that'll replace the opti with something similar to the LS1's individual coil pack setup.
