Oil system for blown DD stroker?

I've been thinking about the oiling system on my LT1, and wanted to know how i should take care of it.

I know using a high volume oil pump with the stock oil pan is a very bad idea as is well documented on this forum.

I don't really want to get an aftermarket pan, since its not really that helpful for a daily driver and the pans are rather expensive considering the stock system does pretty well.

So is it best to just leave the stock oiling system be, or maybe just do slightly upgrades like the "white" oil pump spring? Or should i just suck it up and go all out to protect my motor investment?

Stock pump and pan. HP spring is fine, but not needed below 7,000rpm.

where do you get this spring anyways? I've done a search and gone ~5 pages without a part# or a place to order.

thanks Injuneer.

Does anyone happen to have any other part # besides a GM one? I really rather not order from the GM dealer. The local ones here rape you ... seriously.
