Octane rating for 91 octane + E10?
Does anyone know what octane 91 octane gas with E10 added is? Is it 91? Do they start out with say 87 or 89 and add the ethanol to get 91, or do they start with 91, then add the ethanol?
Either way, its about the highest octane street gas I can get around here, so it looks like I'll be running that for a while.

Interesting link:

Read the paragraph that starts with "Gas containing ethanol (e10) still has the octane listed..."
Also look at the caution in red at the bottom of the page.

Interesting read. MN is a e10 state but we do have a few gas stations that sell "off road" gasoline that contains no ethanol. Its marketed for collector cars but I believe that all it is, is 100% 92 octane gasoline. Its 10 cents more a gal unfortunately.

LT1 Power, I feel your pain up here. I just moved here for a bit and am used to texas 93 oct everywhere... Well I have found 42nd and grover has race gas and at the race track in glenwood they have race fuel as well. I believe the 103 octane is what they each have. I know the 42nd and grover gas station does have pure ethanol as well, I wouldn't use that as an octane booster obviously.
See you around.
