thats a 10cc dish? i mean fill me in on what specks you're using exactly for everything you used as input. looks to me like with a 10cc dish that gives . and about you just about stock compression and an 8.37 dcr. which should probably be just fine on an lt1.

Re: Need help with pistons + dynamic compression

sorry bout that, yeah thats a dish. i dont want to go too crazy with it unless you really think i can get away with more. id like to make as much power with it as i can but i dont want to have problems. oh and 1 more question, how do i determine how high a piston will sit in the bore without actually sticking it in there? is there some formula for that? thanks for your help -dave

The CC's fastfatboy was referring to were 6CC valve reliefs not a dish. You can have Probe make you a 8CC valve relief flat top piston with no dish.2 eyebrow instead of 4,niiicce flat top.

You should be real safe at 8.7 or below.

Some I have talked to claim 9.6 on the street and pump gas??????
I don't want to go there!!!!!

You have to assemble a hole on each corner and measure it to see about your deck height.

Tell me about it.... I'm about to dump Evans in the SS just so I can run 87 octane... Hell it's only 10.1:1 now with a stock cam should have a nice low DCR anyways.
