my engine plans

aright first, im new here helo everyone. Im gonna b building a killer LT1 engine for my maro, now im still in the planning stages but i would like to start getting everything together, the engine will take me a couple of years to compleat due to the expenses but in no hurry and im going to UTI next fal so i'l kno alot more down the road neways. i want a real screamer that wil rev plenty high w/ plenty of torque too. 8krpms is my goal but im not so positive on how to reach that but heres what im planning out-> motown block w/ 4.2 bores, for the crank im thinkin jst a forged 3.48 -all forged internals. rods- either 6.125" or 6.2" which would give me an (R/L) of 1.76:1 or 1.78:1. for the heads idk either LE3's or AFR's 210s w/ the competion cnc. i dont kno enough yet so could yall help me figure out the best CC to go w/ and what size pistons to go w/ to give me a comp ratio of 11:1. im open to suggestions w/ the cam im not to sure what would be best for 8k rpms, im gona get a custom grind so whats some good numbers for it? and what would be best for the rest of the valve train? i dont want to hav to tune it all the time so no solid lifters but shaft mount rockers or no? im goin to use the accel super ram intake, 58mm tb, 36#injectors etc.. hope im not forgeting anything. lol im sure i am but hey its ben along day.
any tips/sugestions/coments/concerns r greatly appreciated
i should have the block by june

Wow! I have spent hundreds of hours posting here trying to help folks out. I have also recieved a lot of help. So, I don't see it the way you do at all. But in any case, keep in mind that no one here owes you anything. If you ask a specific question, posted in the correct forum you are much more likely to get help. Punctuation and writing style help as well. It makes it easier for people to know WTF you are talking about.

Re: my engine plans

Motown block, super ram intake and LT1 factory castings. Now there's a combo I've not seen before.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but based on your post, your knowledge and understanding of building and maintaining a high HP/high RPM motor, you probably shouldn't have this or attempt it. You would never try to use LT1 castings and a low RPM torque intake on an aftermarket block and expect to hit 8k rpm's. That's not to mention that I've never met anyone who built a motor with an RPM goal but no HP goal or application in mind.

Stick to the boltons on your LT1 and learn as you do the small mods and work your way up from there. Keep reading and learning from the more experienced folks on the board.

Yeah I really wonder.... 8K takes some work. A LT1 head btw ain't gonna go 8K unless you are about 315 cubes by a normal porter..... It can go that fast on that many cubes but for the money it's going to cost.... you will not want to play that game.

Good luck

Re: my engine plans

1. Questions regarding LT1 engine buildups do not belong on "Advanced Tech." Sorry for the "attitude".... but that's the job someone asked me to do.

2. Since you've already decided no one wants to help you, I'll close the thread.
